Systems Administrator The System Administrator performs a number of tasks including making new workstations, server configuration, desktop troubleshooting (both Windows and Linux), Linux server administration and other tasks. The position may be full-time or part-time and offers flexible work hours. Compensation depends on experience and qualifications. Requirements:

• 5+ years of Unix/Linux support in a production environment (8+ preferred)
• Emphasis on Linux strongly desired, working knowledge of Windows & Mac a plus
• Understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and firewall concepts
• Mail and spam filtering experience
• Clusters, PBS and queueing
• Basic backup system experience
• Architectural experience in an Apache/MySQL environment
• Extensive sh/csh/perl knowledge, mirroring.
• Understanding of main types of bio and chemical data is a plus
