Welcome to the Interactive PDB Fast Viewer at Molsoft, LLC |
The Protein Data Bank (PDB) is an archive of experimentally determined
3-dimensional structures of biological macromolecules, serving a global
community of researchers, educators, and students. The archives contain atomic
coordinates, bibliographic citations, primary and secondary structure
information, as well as crystallographic structure factors and NMR experimental
data.
Using this viewer, you will not need all of this information. A simplified 3-D
graphical object will be created at the Molsoft server using the ICM software,
and your browser won't have to download too much data. (That makes it a fast
viewer.)
Side-by-side stereo option makes it possible for you to feel the 3-D
disposition of the molecular object parts not having complex hardware or
software.
Hint: some of the entries are VERY big (e.g. 1bgl - beta-galactosidase), so
make your browser's life easier, e.g. view Ca-trace.
